Autumn vs. Winter
P8|12/25/17
As autumn ends, winter begins, and as winter ends, spring begins, etc. Just like seasons, we do the same; as one phase ends, another only begins. After all, ‘life is a series of new beginnings’.
Here is a verse about new life:
‘to put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness. and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, ‘

Sweet Not Sour
Rocky Streams
This rock was found near a small stream flowing on rock bottom. It was very slick and hard to get to, as I had to climb up a small waterfall to reach it, but the end result was worth it, per usual. At times, I strive to be like this rock, unbothered, and sturdy. However, that’s not always the case. Sometimes I can’t be like this rock, but thankfully I have one of my own to lean on.
‘ The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.’

Jelly
P5|7/11/17
In Texas, you never know what to expect when it comes to the weather especially in December. As temperatures jump from 80 to 30 in the span of 24 hours, I miss the beach more and more. The waves, the sun, endless amounts of shops, restaurants, and never-ending sunsets are just a few reasons to why I love the beach (getting stung by a jellyfish, however, isn’t so loveable)
Roman Road: Verse: 4
‘For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved. because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. ‘

Drops
Snowball Soirée
This past summer I worked at a sno cone stand, but not your average sno cone stand. Of course you have those kids, crazy, messy, and could care less what flavor you give them, but the older kids really figured out that we had the best. From ice cream to whipped cream to candy to cake, the combinations were endless. Though some people wouldn’t call it a real job (including my entire family) I’d say it was. After all, being a highschool student waking up before noon, mid summer… I’d say that’s fairly impressive.
Roman Road: Verse 2:
‘For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.’

Mr. Tree Frog
This is a gray tree frog that I found in East Texas. As much as frogs interest me, I don’t think I’ve ever seen an actual tree frog other than any child’s annual zoo trip. Honestly, I had never thought of tree frogs living anywhere other than some magical rainforest that pops into my mind anytime the word, “rainforest” is said. I guess my second grade research projects didn’t teach me much.
Starting with this photo, and the next five photos that I do not attach a direct bible story to, I am going to attach one verse of the Roman Road (verses taken from the book of Romans that represents the plan of salvation through the faith of Jesus Christ).
Roman Road: Verse 1:
‘for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, ‘

Summer Seas
As this is my first post, I thought I’d give you a rundown of how I intend the set up for each one of my posts to be; I will start with something about myself or how The photo, in some way, pertains to me or my life. Then I will follow with a verse or a story after each or most posts via The Bible. Here’s to day one:
P.S. Keep in mind that I am in no way shape or form a worthy writer. ((;

I love the outdoorsy look, particularly in summer. When frogs are croaking, crickets are chirping, waters are still, and the sun is gently beaming, I find myself at peace. Whether it’s the lake or the ocean, faint brown, or bright blue, all waters keep me sane.
Here is a piece of a story about water from John Chapter four:
Verse 13-15:
“Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.””

“Now Jesus learned that the Pharisees had heard that he was gaining and baptizing more disciples than John— although in fact it was not Jesus who baptized, but his disciples. So he left Judea and went back once more to Galilee. Now he had to go through Samaria. So he came to a town in Samaria called Sychar, near the plot of ground Jacob had given to his son Joseph. Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon. When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?” (His disciples had gone into the town to buy food.) The Samaritan woman said to him, “You are a Jew and I am a Samaritan woman. How can you ask me for a drink?” (For Jews do not associate with Samaritans. ) Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” “Sir,” the woman said, “you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep. Where can you get this living water? Are you greater than our father Jacob, who gave us the well and drank from it himself, as did also his sons and his livestock?” Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won’t get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.” He told her, “Go, call your husband and come back.” “I have no husband,” she replied. Jesus said to her, “You are right when you say you have no husband. The fact is, you have had five husbands, and the man you now have is not your husband. What you have just said is quite true.” “Sir,” the woman said, “I can see that you are a prophet. Our ancestors worshiped on this mountain, but you Jews claim that the place where we must worship is in Jerusalem.” “Woman,” Jesus replied, “believe me, a time is coming when you will worship the Father neither on this mountain nor in Jerusalem. You Samaritans worship what you do not know; we worship what we do know, for salvation is from the Jews. Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” The woman said, “I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.” Then Jesus declared, “I, the one speaking to you—I am he.””
